Paraffin Gauze Dressing

Paraffin Gauze Dressing is a sterile, absorbent dressing impregnated with refined paraffin. It is indicated for the moist warm treatment of superficial burns, scalds and skin graft donor sites. Paraffin gauze dressing is also effective in the treatment of dry gangrene, leg ulcers and other chronic wounds.
Paraffin Gauze Dressing used for Covering and protecting superficial wounds, such as abrasions or lacerations. Absorbing wound drainage from surgical incisions or lacerations. Applying topical medications to wounds using impregnated gauze dressings. Covering and protecting second-degree burns.
Paraffin Gauze dressing helps promote the body’s natural healing process by keeping the wound bed moist, thanks to its wicking properties, enabling exudate to pass through freely without drying out the wound.
It is soothing and low-adherent, and allows the wound to drain freely into an absorbent secondary dressing. Medic is available in a wide range of sizes, the largest of which is suitable for use in burns units.
