HEMODIALYSIS MACHINE available in models 4008, 4008s, 4008s NG AND 5008, 5008s series.
HD machines clean blood by passing it through a filter called a dialyzer. This “artificial kidney” is a clear plastic cylinder filled with hair-thin hollow fibers. Blood flows through the insides of the fibers; dialysate fluid bathes the outside of the fibers.
In hemodialysis, a machine filters wastes, salts and fluid from your blood when your kidneys are no longer healthy enough to do this work adequately. Hemodialysis is one way to treat advanced kidney failure and can help you carry on an active life despite failing kidneys.
The Hemodialysis Unit consists of eleven patient stations in the dialysis unit. Equipment is available for staff to dialyze patients throughout the facility, such as intensive care units and medical surgical floors. The unit provides both acute and chronic therapy.
Home hemodialysis (HHD) is the modality of hemodialysis done in the home. During home hemodialysis, blood flows from the patient’s vascular access through a dialysis machine. The dialysis machine cleanses the blood of extra waste and fluids and sends the clean blood back into the body.
The principle of hemodialysis is the same as other methods of dialysis; it involves diffusion of solutes across a semipermeable membrane. Hemodialysis utilizes counter current flow, where the dialysate is flowing in the opposite direction to blood flow in the extracorporeal circuit.
Hemodialysis is a treatment to filter wastes and water from your blood, as your kidneys did when they were healthy. Hemodialysis helps control blood pressure and balance important minerals, such as potassium, sodium, and calcium, in your blood.
